Almost a year ago today I signed my first book contract and it was with Beachwalk Press. I choose Beachwalk Press over two different companies I was offered contracts with because of their great covers and every Author I spoke to loved them and highly recommended them.
I’m going to do my feature on my Armageddon mates series. I’m going to share some of my Favourite excerpts from Kane’s mate and Rane’s mate. I’ll even put in an excerpt from Ava’s mate.
Rane's mate Blurb:
Faith's life has always balanced in two worlds—the normal human world and the supernatural. Now she has to choose between the two.
Faith York is human, but she has psychic powers, which is a little odd since neither of her parents have paranormal abilities. Thankfully, the werewolf family who lived around the corner help her learn to control her powers. She instantly fell in love with the entire family, but especially Kane, the oldest son who is next in line to be Alpha. Unfortunately, Kane doesn't see Faith the same way she sees him. Heartbroken, she leaves town.
When Faith returns from two years overseas, her parents throw her a welcome home party. Faith is shocked when Kane kidnaps her from the party and mate marks her. Now she struggles with the choice of whether to leave again and live a normal life—a life she yearns for—or stay with the man she's always dreamed of and live a supernatural life.
To complicate matters further, her psychic powers intensify and she begins to have visions of an upcoming demon Armageddon. Then she learns she was switched at birth, and she has a half-brother…who is half demon.
Faith must be stronger than she ever believed possible, and maybe in the process, she can trust herself to give Kane another chance.

This is a sence were Faith goes to let off some steam with her friends. I love Alpha men.
Faith was having so much fun she didn’t even notice the four massive, slack-jaw werewolves that came in the club until she and her two girlfriends were called up to the bar to be told they were the last contestants and would be going on next. Faith was pumped. The dance routine was one they had practiced, but had never been game to show.
Five minutes later, standing up on the stage bar, she glanced at the brothers, and they did not look happy. She thought about pulling out, but Remy and Sara were counting on her, they needed the prize money. Faith knew her werewolves wouldn’t do anything in a crowded club with so many people watching. She gave a mental shrug. Stuff it, if she was going to be in trouble she might as well give them something to be mad about. Faith leaned down to the DJ coordinator. “On the second song, about two and a half minutes in, hose us down.”
She took off her sequin top as she had a white singlet underneath that showed off a pink belly ring that matched her pink and black lacy bra set. To complete the outfit she had tight jeans and knee-high, black, fuck-me boots. She had told the girls if they wanted to win the $2,000 prize money they were going to have to use some serious dance moves to make the crowd cheer loud. She had told them to dress accordingly.
Faith heard her friend give a nervous laugh. “Oh my God,” said Remy. “We are so going to win. Look at you two.” She hugged Faith. “Thanks so much for doing this, Faith. You used to be so shy and reserved, but jeez, two years overseas has turned you into a bad girl. You were so right, they are going to go wild with these white singlets when we get wet.”
They laughed as the music started and all those dance lessons Faith had taken made themselves known.
Catcalls, whistling, yelling for numbers, and loud cheers filled the air. She chanced a glance at the four very angry werewolves that were getting closer. A minute or two before the water hose was put on them she felt Kane and knew he had come in. Oh shit, she was dead. When she went down to slide across the bar, swapping spots with her friends for the finish of the song, she looked up to see the scariest sight she had ever seen—a six and a half foot massive, hulking, pissed off alpha werewolf stalking toward her. She gulped and rushed to follow her friends to the DJ.

Rane's mate Blurb:
If you could help save the world, would you?
That’s the choice offered to shy animal empath Kirby Brown by her new friend Faith.
Faith is mated to one of a warrior race of werewolves, the only beings who can save the world from merciless demons, and she believes Kirby's abilities can help them in their battle.
Intrigued by the strange new world, Kirby is tempted to assist them—especially when she's drawn to the compelling and sexy Rane Wolfen.
Immediately upon meeting Kirby, Rane knows she's his mate. Fearing for her safety, he forbids her from using her talents in the brutal battle that is to come.
Kirby worries that she's finally escaped her overprotective brothers only to find herself involved with an equally dominating man.
Can Kirby and Rane overcome their differences and work together to help save the world? And can Rane convince Kirby that they are indeed destined to be mates?

I love Rane.
By late afternoon, Rane had figured out that he was in hell. A straight guy never goes out with women on a girls’ day out, no matter what they’re doing or where they’re going. He should have taken Kane up on the offer to bail out. It was worse still, because if one more person accidently touched Kirby’s butt, boobs, waist, or any other body part, he was going to rip them apart. Not to mention the men who asked for her number…they were going to die. The worst thing of all was that she ignored him, wouldn’t even look at him, avoided being close to him. By the time night fell, his wolf was so on edge that he did something he never did, he retreated and called Kane.
“Okay, who do I have to get to replace me? I can’t watch without touching her or breaking some bones in these guys that she’s attracting.”
Kane chuckled. “Not to worry. I’m coming, I’ll be there in a couple of minutes, and then we can endure together.”
He shut his phone as Jamie, Devlin, Owen, Cullen, Dominic, and Tray came up next to him. “We heard the good news, bro. Good luck with that one, she is hot.”
Rane whacked Jamie upside the head. “Does anything but shit come from your mouth?” He turned to Tray. “How the fuck did Kane get you to do this, Tray?”
Tray frowned. “He didn’t, I’m in the same boat as you.”
Rane raised his eyebrow.
“Sara,” Tray explained.
Exerpt: (Kirby can sticj up for herself.)
Kirby looked around to see the band was finishing their last song. Biting her lip, she turned to Faith. “How long do you think we have? The band is finishing now and we all seem to be spread pretty thin.”
Faith didn’t get to reply as Rane came strolling over and cut her answer off. “Tell me you gave Kirby a weapon so she’s not just standing around looking like a stunned mullet.”
Kirby ignored Rane’s comment. She didn’t even bother to acknowledge him. Every time she thought about him or even glanced his way her stomach did weird little flips.
She smiled when Faith rolled her eyes before turning to him. “Of course, although I don’t know what good they will do her. She has had no training. First thing tomorrow I’m going to teach the girls some basic moves.” Faith reached forward and patted his arm. “Try not to worry. I’ll protect her.”
Rane groaned. “Oh God, now I feel real great. Why didn’t we just send the girls home? Dad, Mum, Bengie, and the girls would have looked after them.”
Kirby felt her stomach sink. Fantastic, Rane didn’t even want her around.
Faith sighed. “We couldn’t spare anyone to drive her home, and I kind of wanted to try alittle experiment with Kirby.”
Kirby turned to Faith. “What experiment?”
“I was hoping you would help with the minions as they are kinda animals.”
“No fucking way, Faith. I know what you’re thinking. Kane, control your mate,” Rane muttered.
“Idiot,” Faith and Kirby huffed out.
Faith and Kirby shook their heads as Faith glared at Rane. “You did not just tell Kane to control me. If we didn’t have demons coming right now I would so be kicking your arse.”
“Faith, I want to help, tell me about this experiment.”
“You said you can talk to animals, so maybe you can get minions to do what you want, or at least confuse them enough for me to kill them.”
Kirby touched her forehead, feeling a migraine coming on. “Well, if I can see the eyes of an animal—”
“I said no. You are not looking a minion in the eye, no frigging way.” Rane glared at her.
Fuck this idiot. What right did he have to tell her what to do? She’d moved away from her overbearing, controlling brothers so she didn’t have to put up with stuff like this. She’d had enough. Rane might be the best looking man she’d ever laid eyes on, but he was a controlling arsehole just like her brothers. She turned to Rane, her fists clenched at her sides.
“You do not get to tell me what to do. You’ve been glaring at me all day long and made it perfectly clear to everyone that you do not want me here. I don’t care if you’re the hottest guy I’ve ever seen, you are a controlling arsehole. I pity the woman who gets stuck with you.”
Kirby heard laughter behind her, which turned to covered coughs as Rane turned and growled at his brothers. “Well, guess what, little red? That woman is—”
Faith interrupted them. “Not now, Rane. It’s showtime.”

And a special small excerpt from Ava's mate:
She took a deep breath and shut her eyes, now really afraid of what she would see as she turned back around to her mate. Cracking one eye open, she looked up to see brown eyes sparkling with amusement. Oh, okay, so far so good. Ava opened the other eye and saw he had red eyebrows and a crew-cut that matched the color of his eyebrows. She was pleasantly surprised to see he was quite a bit taller than her five-eight, she guessed him well over six feet.
Her mate didn’t look very old, for a human, he was maybe in his late twenties or early thirties. He had a killer smile, with a dimple in each cheek, perfect white teeth, and a very masculine, square jaw. Ava sighed and stepped back for a better look at the gorgeous man. His smile grew wider and another chuckle escaped his mouth as she tore her gaze from his face to travel down the rest of his muscular body.
Ava was blatantly checking him out, and she was loving what she saw. He wasn’t as big or as tall as her eldest brothers, but he definitely had toned, six-pack abs and muscular arms. She wished the army pants were tighter so she could get a better look at the rest of him. He cleared his throat and her eyes darted back up to his face.
“Like what you see?”
Ava couldn’t believe she had just stood there doing nothing but staring at a guy. Well, not just any guy but her mate. At least she hadn’t done what her wolf was yelling in her head for her to do. Jump his bones. Bit him, make him ours. Let’s take him back and show him that once he goes wolf he will never go back. Jump him now. Her wolf had turned into a hussy.
Arousal coursed through her body and she moaned out loud when he spoke this time. “I’m Logan. Corporal Logan Brown, and you are?”
It was like someone threw a bucket of ice cold water over her. She should have seen the similarities and guessed. But Faith being there waiting for the entertainment to start had put her off. Logan was Kirby’s asshole brother.
